Applied UX philosophy for screens, virtual reality and physical space

I specialize in holistic approach for UX and deeply understanding user needs, wants, pain points and simple pleasures. I have advanced skills in affective computing or emotional AI. I’m an award winning visual designer, and I’m full stack coder.

Holistic approach is important in the multi-channeled world that we inhabit. Current major channel is screens, but without having an eye on the immediate and dare I say inevitable (to quote K Kelly) future, lifespan of screen only, with budding NLP and imbedded distributed systems, might prove to be limited.

UX is mostly a business discipline with a little bit of visual design discipline. When done well UX is rapport building communication device, where intuitive understanding of the world around us extends into a new project/service that UX is designed for in a communicative, understandable and reassuring way.

UX philosophy and methodology (sometimes called design thinking) is present in wide range of projects and its not only limited to interaction with screens. I’m presenting here a selection of  screen, Virtual Reality (VR) and mixed and physical reality projects that employ UX methodology in design development.

My goal is to extend typical spatial behavior, understanding of Body positioning, gestures, gaze and language in designing VR experiences. Immersion and believability of those environments almost command using intuitive body driven interfaces.

VR filed has established typical UI for teleportation (laser arc and target spot) and object manipulation ( strait laser beam).

Creating a believable experience of visiting hotel as it will be, once completed, with the goal of testing use and space by all parties involved in development

Build space

We do not think that UX is a discipline that has root in any user centric design, architecture being the prime suspect. Scoping of the architectural services frequently limits ability to explore overall user engagement, but with CodeDesigStudio I pioneered UX methodology applications in all the projects that have User centered design
